    • Great River mp500 mic pre (Classic 70s Vintage British Circuit Styling - The MP-500NV is a professional quality microphone preamplifier designed to re-create the vintage sound characteristics of the early 1970s large consoles. Modern components give the MP-500NV more clarity, punch and performance under normal use. In addition, features like metering before and after the major gain stages let the user drive it 'creatively' to greatly expand the range of sonic options.)

    • Purple Audio Biz mic pres (x2) (A unique sounding, three amplifier, discrete microphone preamp module. The smooth Gain control helps you dial in the sound you want. If the output level is too high (the Class A/B output opamp can pump out up to +27 dBu), you can ride the level down with the separate Level control. Pressing the “Dual” switch splits the gain between two of our Class A opamps, enabling up to 75 dBu of clean gain, making the Biz a perfect match for ribbon microphones. With different Gain, Level, and Dual settings the Biz can produce an infinite variety of tonal variations with the same amount of output level. The front panel DI helps you record instruments and line level sources with unrivaled clarity and punch. Two LEDs clearly indicate signal level for the gain and output stages at a glance, turning green to indicate signal present, yellow for 10dB below clipping, and red for clipping. The Biz uses two KDJ3 opamps and one KDJ4 opamp.)

    • Solid State Logic Six Mini Channel Strip (The SSL SiX Channel is a single-width 500 Series mini channel strip using the SuperAnalogue channel processing features from SSL s SiX console including the Mic-pre, low and high frequency EQ, as well as the single knob compressor. The preamplifier input is transformer balanced and utilizes an original Jensen input transformer.)

An optional digital interface allows direct interfacing with digital workstations for recording or mastering.)

  • Urei 7510a (w/16 vintage Urei mic pres - The Urei/JBL Model 7510A is a compact microphone mixer with a built-in "brain." The monophonic output section includes, among other items, a large VU meter, a Master Gain control, and a balanced -f 4 dBm at 0 VU output (Ref. 600 ohm) with an XL-type connector. The 7510A "brain" Is actually a combination of special digital and analog circuitry. A level sensor instantaneously switches On a channel when its microphone is in active use. The same circuits turn Off the channel when its mic is not In use. Individual channel mix levels are set manually. The mixer's "brain" tells the output how many mics are "live" (active), and the output then automatically adjusts itself to maintain essentially constant system level regardless of the number of live mics. - VINTAGE)

VARIOUS INSTRUMENTS:

Because it works with light, not antenna capacitance, the photo-theremin is not susceptible to radio interference like some ordinary theremins are. Unlike other light activated theremins, this photo theremin is not just a noisemaking toy. Its clean triangle wave tone ranges from a low rumble to a very high frequency. Modulating light sources like video monitors, florescent lighting, and strobe lights produce funky pitch modulations. You can even play it with a flashlight, laser pointer, or TV remote control. The Photo- theremin also has a low frequency oscillator (LFO). The LFO can modulate the frequency of the theremin using either a square wave (makes it sound like a spaceship landing) or triangle wave (gives it a creepy vibrato). You can also control the rate and amount of the LFO.)

"Babylon" Jonathan Sexton and The Big Love Choir-2008

www.JSBLC.com Produced by Dario Gildrie: Bio: Its amazing what can happen in a year. Jonathan Sexton went from a solo artist to a frontman, from a man alone on a journey to the leader of a team. "Big Love (2008)" not only allowed Sexton to reclaim his place on the map in the music world, but more importantly it put in place the series of events that led to the creation and solidification of "The Big Love Choir" -at least the core members that as, because the band maintains "if you have a voice you can sing, and if you wanna sing along, then your in the choir" says drummer Dave Campbell. Sexton adds, "thats right, its open invite, as long is its about love and respect, its all family." It truly is all about family, nothing makes this more evident than the addition of Andrew Sexton, Elodie Lafont, and J. Niles Haury to the choir. Drummer Dave "the animal" Campbell has been in since jumpstreet. Press Quotes: Jonathan Sexton and the Big Love Choir was not even a band a year ago and is already getting nods from major concert promoters and sharing the stage with some of the biggest acts from around the region such as DMB collaborator Tim Reynolds and singer songwriter Dave Barnes. This incredible momentum is further evidenced by being added to the Sundown in the City concert series line up for 2009. Their video is on the sundowninthecity.com website. They are also beginning to make waves regionally swapping gigs with some of the best independent musicians the south has to offer. ~~Rose Cortez 2009 " It's like they (JSBLC) play EVERY different kind of pop music and they do it well!! - Patrick Himes, Waterworks Entertainment and Studio- Nashville Tn "Jonathan Sextons Babylon is the best original reggae song by a local band. Ever. The message of this single from the Big Love CD is as powerful as it is simple—love can heal the human heart or an entire nation. Jack Rentfro, " -Jack Rentfro, writer/editor Cumberland Avenue Revisited: Four Decades of Music from Knoxville "Jonathan Sexton has a lot of love for everyone, and he isn't afraid to sing about it on his new disc "Big Love." His voice is the star of the show, soaring over a foundation of reggae-tinged, rockin' Americana. It's a solid collection from the heart." -Randall Brown, Knoxville News Sentinel "A great young band who's living up to their name. I think they come from France and East Tennessee, which seems totally appropriate to me. " -RB Morris, Poet, Songwriter, Playright "Sexton has a big voice, but he never plays it for drama. The understated and largely acoustic arrangements are nonetheless silky, streamlined, and IT WORKS!!!" -Matthew Everett, Metropulse "Jonathan Sexton is OVERFLOWING with big ideas of universal love and good vibes. " - The man about town-Randall Brown, Knoxville New Sentinel www.JSBLC.com
